Just got connected to BT today and am using the Smart Hub. Most things seem to be working fine, but one of the devices I use, a Win 7 laptop connected to the hub via Ethernet, can no longer be connected to via Remote Desktop or as an SMB server. I'm trying to connect wirelessly via the MS Remote Desktop application on my Macbook and Android tablet. I've also tried pinging it and it just times out (I'm fairly sure I haven't disabled the ability to respond to pings). The laptop runs as a Plex server and for some reason is still accessible (and shows up in the Smart Hub for port forwarding on that device).
Any ideas? I've searched this forum and Google and have turned up nothing of use 😐
Never mind - Windows on the laptop decided it would re-recognise the Smart Hub as a public network, so inbound connections were severely restricted. Changing it back to a private network resolved the issue.
