Smart Hubs and Hub 5 not working not working

I have had a Home hub 4 for many years but got an 'up'grade to a smart hub. When connected, the Smart Hub worked for a minute, then the connection seemed to drop out as I kept getting 'Time Out' messages. I am on Infinity speed. I reported this, and BT sent another Smart Hub. The same problem persisted, and then with a Home Hub 5 which they sent in desperation. The time out messages persist. I have retained all these hubs. Any advice on how to get the Smart Hub not to Time Out? Thanks.

I should have said my router is hard wired to my desktop computer. I am not referring to wi-fi issues-I havent got that far with it as it just didnt work. Will splitting the bands help if it is hard wired?

the hub sounds like it is waiting for you to set up device hence why @licquorice suggestion to turn off smart setup

Smart set up isnt turned on-I have checked it. Any other suggestions?

Go back to using the Hub4 and modem.

The other message I get is  ''there is no internet connection'' and after a few seconds, maybe 10 or twenty, the connection resumes.

Yes, I have done that for the last year or so, but cant help feeling I am doing something wrong or should be able to adjust things so that one of these 3 hubs I have, works. The smart hub is meant to give better wifi and my house covers a wide area so would give a better wifi in theory which is why I am trying to get it to work.

''A network change was detected'' is another error message.
