Stable connection to TV but other devices dropping in and out of connection - any suggestions?

I've gone through all the suggested fixes on BT's website and I've tested my speed which is decent enough, the hub seems to be working as it should, but having real connection issues with a laptop and tablet - consistently failing to connect to the wifi - rebooted both devices (and have work tech support for laptop) - doesn't help that cant' speak to anyone at BT - phones ridiculous, chat disabled and web page links take you in a perpetual loop of diagnostics that I've done etc
