Stand alone Computer without Wi-Fi

How do I connect Stand alone Computer in an upstairs office to the internet, do i need engineer to install an additional phone line. Do I have to buy additional kit, how much do BT charge.....????? None of this was explained when we took out a brand new service only a month ago signing up to the Phone, Internet and TV package, BT Customer services havce been pretty pants to be honest, always passing me round the houses, cutting me off the 'chat'. Obviously been new to BT we were expecting a better service than we have so far had. Very disappointed so far. Appreciate any suggestions and help. Thanks

Re: Stand alone Computer without Wi-Fi

The easiest thing to do is buy a usb wireless adapter and plug it into the pc. For around £10 it will save running cables around the house.

I'm afraid its really nothing to do with BT how you connect devices to the internet, your internal wiring/connectivity is your responsibility. All BT, or any other ISP for that matter,  do is provide a broadband connection and a router. As @Zombie has said, the simplest solution is a wireless dongle or you could use powerline adaptors such as these https://www.shop.bt.com/products/bt-broadband-extender-600-kit-084284-BVFL.html  if you want to use an Ethernet connection without running cables.
