Superfast Fibre and Alexa

Go to solution

Just taken the S/F on board and can find no difference than with Standard Broadband, in fact seems slower. Other point is my Alexa sound keeps stuttering ever since new Hub set up. Finally the graphic of the new Hub  on BT site seems to show it can drive throughout the house. Mine won't drive the BT  TV STB which is 6 metres awaywithout WiFi extenders, although divided by a wall. Any help in nice easy language appreciated.

Thx

you should turn off smart setup

can you post stats from your hub  advanced settings then technical log information

enter your phone number and post results  remember delete number  https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html

are you using the test socket with a filter to see if that helps - even if you have a filtered master socket

Welcome to this user forum.

Try turning Smart Setup off.

Unless you want faster downloads, you are unlikely to notice any difference between the packages.

Depending on how far you are from the cabinet, standard broadband can actually perform better, as superfast speed falls away very quicky, as you move furthur away from the cabinet.

Thx for the reply. Now got the Amazon Echo to work by getting rid of the Smart set up and resetting the Echo. Still don't understand why the Smart 6 Hub needs wifi extender sockets for a TV  5/6 metres away.
