TP Link archer vr2600

I've just had my broadband upgraded to infinity and my modem no longer works with infinity. I've changed the settings to BT VDSL but it just won't connect. I've been in touch with tp link and they said that the modem might be faulty and have sent me a new one. The new one doesn't connect either, but as soon as you plug the homehub, the internet is back up and running. Has anyone else had difficulty connecting the Archer vr2600 with infinity?

Re: TP Link archer vr2600

Have you entered the username as homehub@btbroadband.com and password as BT?

I've tried leaving the password blank and also used BT but still noting.

Re: TP Link archer vr2600

No reason why it shouldn't work, its not a generic problem with the router as others are using it succesfully. Try a factory reset and start again using the quick setup.

Re: TP Link archer vr2600

Should it work of the quick setup or is there additional things that need to be added

Re: TP Link archer vr2600

It should work with the quick setup if you select BT VDSL and correct username and password.

Re: TP Link archer vr2600

I have a VR600 rather than VR2600 but I think the UI is similar.

Have you checked (under Advanced - Network) that the DSL mode is VDSL and the VLAN ID is 101? And the connection type is PPPoE? If you'd done all that and entered your PPPoE Username and Pasword as mentioned above, it ought to work.

(I know telling you it ought to work isn't necessarily very helpful ...)

Re: TP Link archer vr2600

Checked everything and still can't get it working. It comes up with "internet not connected. Please check if your phone cable is properly connected"
