Time Capsule, Home Hub 3 and BT TV

Previously we had our Apple Time Capsule connected to a BT modem (PPoE setting) for an excellent wifi service.

We upgraded our BT package last year to include BT TV which meant disconnecting the TimeCapsule and using a BT Home Hub 3.

Overtime we have gotten fed up with the weaker Home Hub wifi signal and want to change back to having the internet via the Time Capsule.  The problem lies with still having to keep the Home Hub 3 connected due to the BT TV service which needs to come via the hub.

Can anyone advise on how we set up the hardware so that our BT Infinifty broadband comes into the Home Hub (keeping the BT TV service operational) but does not use the BT wifi instead it is the wireless signal of the Time Capsule which networks our house?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Re: Time Capsule, Home Hub 3 and BT TV

Hi elfl2000,

Maybe try the Apple Time Capsule in Bridge Mode and turning off the HH3's Wifi.

IE: Openreach VDSL Modem to HH3 (with Wifi turned off) then Apple Time Capsule in bridge mode.

This may also solve your ChromeCast issues with the HH3.
