Can you use the USB port on the smart hub to play music from a usb stick,
using a Sonos playbar if yes how do you set this up.
Yes, the USB port on the back of the Smart Hub can be used to share files. By default it uses the address: 192.168.1.254.
You can use this guide from Sonos, showing how to connect: https://support.sonos.com/s/article/78?language=en_US
The share is \\192.168.1.254, you can access this on a Windows PC to see the shared folder, if Sonos can’t find it itself.
I typed \\192.168.1.254 in the share info page on the music library
sonos set up music share.
it said Sonos can’t find this share, I tried putting in the admin password for hub manager
on the next attempt again it said Sonos can’t find it.
just tried it again and nothing happens at all now.
i have looked on my pc and I can’t find it there.
i have looked in the bt hub and the usb is showing there has
storage device on port 1 usb
If sh2 then USB format needs to be FAT32 not NTFS. There is a large thread about this already
Don't understand why, but I think FAT32 is only needed for hard drives, I can read an NTFS formatted usb stick just fine on a SH2
I removed one album from the usb stick which I downloaded from the iTunes store( format
wma) then I type in \\192.168.1.254 on my pc the run command come up and it works.
but still no joy getting to work with sonos app on my ipad (file share)
USB port problem ongoing for weeks
Your slashes are wrong direction
Try mapping a drive to \\192.168.1.254\usb1
Oops, yes. Thank you
