Unknown Devices attempting to connect to my Router

Go to solution

I have had BT Fibre for about 6 weeks and check my router event log regularly. I have today noticed that 4 or 5 different devices are regularly attempting to connect to my router. The log shows - Wl1 A Device (then the mac address)  failed to connect to SSID because it provided incorrect log in information. It is not happening all the time but with 10-15 minute breaks before another 10-15 mins of  continuous attempted log ins ( but this can vary). These mac addresses do not relate to any of my wireless devices .

I am somewhat concerned at this activity. Can anyone tell me what this might be and how to stop it. I have made no changes to the router configuration. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Nothing you can do if someone is attempting to connect to your WiFi other than turn it off. If they don't have the wireless password the connection will fail.
