Re: Upgraded BT & now printer won't work

Are you seeing any form of error message, from your description it could just be that the printer is out of ink or has a paper jam

It is not working with the usb cable. Must just be a co-incidence that it happened the same time as the hub upgrade.

I will get someone to look into it locally for me.

Thank you

Just a microsoft pop up saying there is an error printing.
All ink is full & no paper jam.
Could this be something to do with microsoft or even Norton as when I upgraded it was the same time BT finished with McAfee 7 changed to Norton?

Re: Upgraded BT & now printer won't work

Turn on your printer then go to your computer settings, then Devices then Printers and scanners. Is your printer showing there and if it is what status does it show?

If it is showing there, click on the the printer and then click on Manage. Click on Print test page. Does it print?

If it does not print click on trouble shooter. What does it state?

If it does not find a fault or can not resolve it go back to the menu and click on the printer again and this time click remove device.

Once it has been removed, click on add a printer or scanner and follow the prompts.

This should re-install your printer but it may only have basic functions at this stage.

Post back with results.

See link.

I can't see it being Norton.

The printer sits on a port (which can be real or virtual) and Norton could block that port but then the scanner wouldn't work either.
