Use SmartHub2 as additional Whole Home Wifi Access Point?

Go to solution

Hello,

Wondering if anyone has tried to use the SmartHub2 as an additional Whole Home Access point, I am aware if you are a BT Customer and you have the SH2 as your main link, You can then connect the Whole Home's up to it, turning a 3 pack in to a 4 pack.

Has anyone tried this standalone to have the SH2 as a "slave" rather then the "master".

Likewise has anyone tried it with a different ISP and having the SH2 bridged to the other ISP's router.

In  short, with a different ISP, with the Whole Home 3 pack, and potentially have access to a SH2. I have used HH in the past as access points for wifi expansion but wondering if the SH2 would let you do the usual daisy chain with the whole Home when it's not getting a "ADSL/FTTC" uplink to it.

Hi Just to confirm the BT complete Wi-Fi discs ( black) can't be used with BT Whole Home discs ( White). also you can't connect Whole Home to SH2 by Wi-Fi. it requires an Ethernet cable to the first disc.
Hope this helps
