Our business users connect to our tyre garage application software to servers hosted in Sweden using remote desktop connection and once or twice a month (for 1-2 hours) the connection drops for customers with BT as the ISP.
Users can still surf the web even when they cant access our software through RDP, hence the blame is put on us by some customers.
Affects only BT Internet users (or Internet Providers that use BT’s infrastructure)
Could it be some kind of routing problem to the Swedish data centre?
If the customer installs a VPN then that resolves the issue – i.e. the customer routes to the VPN provider then the VPN provider can get to our servers fine
As your users are BT Business users, you need to post on the BT Business forum, as this is the residential forum. It may also be worthwhile one of your business customers also registering on that forum, so one of the moderators there, can direct you both, to the correct support team.
