Using 3rd party router to replace BT smart hub on by infinity

Go to solution

Hi
My BT smart hub been playing up lately. A lot of orange/green light. I'm thinking of replacing the router. I have TP link archer D20 ac750 router but I'm not sure if it is supported. I haven't had much luck trying to set it up. Is TP link D20 supported on infinity?

Thanks

No.  That link describes an ADSL modem.  You want one that supports VDSL for using with Infinity.

Have a look at the Archer VR600.

What router would you recommend to use in infinity at a budget if no more than £40

You could have a look at the TP-Link TD-W9970.  At same place you saw the first one.

There is only one at that price, the 9970 that @Liam_ recommended.

Ordered it and it's coming tomorrow. Hope it ends my nightmare with smart hub. Tired of green/orange light, pretty much no internet today
