Using EE smart hub on BT broadband fttc

Hi - I've recently switched from EE fttc broadband to BT fttc broadband.  My switch completed on Monday, but I never had time to switch over to the BT hub.  To my surprise the old EE smart hub is still working two days later.  I know BT now own EE, but is this expected behaviour? And can I just leave it on the EE hub and keep the BT one as spare?

Hi @BigAde

Welcome to the Community!

Are you sure the transfer completed?

EE uses different PPPoE Authentication details.

If you call 151 do you get BT?

Thanks

Ok. So I guess this is expected behaviour?

Re: Using EE smart hub on BT broadband fttc

It depends if the firmware allows it,  I know a lot of plusnet customers use a BT Hub  or smart hub  instead of plusnets, Hub One which is  a rebranded HH5. It would be interesting if a BT hub would work with ee though ?
