Keith I have been logged on to work now for quite a while now and the 'Cisco is trying to reconnect' dialogue message has not appeared once yet. Usually it has a few times by now. Fingers crossed and i have plenty to go on now if things go a bit wonky. Thanks for all your help. You are a genius and obviously a very decent bloke . All the best. Michael
I am sorry I did not identify it earlier, but after a think about it, I remembered it was the sort of thing that used to happen if you tried to login to a BT WiFi/FON connection, wher a login is needed first. As you were connected to your home wifi, the only thing that could cause a re-direction, would be Smart setup.
I do not use a BT home hub, so its easy for me to forget the BT Home hubs "features".
