WI-FI Name & channels

Go to solution

How many "other" channels are intregrated into the wifi hub?

For example: BTHUB5-ABCD, that's my definnitive name.

Secondary services: BTWIFI-with-FON and BTwifi-X.

What do they carry out on the system?

The wireless SSids (Name) that you see as BTWifi-Fon and BTWifi-X are the free wireless hotspot that all Homehubs transmit unless you opt out.

They are totally separate from your own home network and anybody using it can not access your home network and you will not be responsible for anything that is downloaded or viewed on them.

Any usage on them does not count towards your usage and you always have priority over them when it comes to using your home network.

Re: WI-FI Name & channels

Hi there - can you tell me if all connections to the hub will share the same outward facing IP address?

for example, if i connect to my "home" wifi will this have the same IP address as the "BT-Fon" wifi? - i don't currently have a home hub so cannot test myself
