WIFI - PASSWORD INCORRECT

Go to solution
My BT WiFi has decided to disconnect on both my and my partner's phones. His is an iPhone 5 mine is a Huawei P8. It randomly disconnected from the WiFi then started saying password incorrect when I tried to reach connect. I checked I put in the correct password, I have restarted my router, I have cleared connection history in my phone's settings and nothing seems to work. My WiFi is still connected to my daughter's tablet and my now TV stick though... Any ideas why this is happening?? Thanks in advance.

As well as the info that Keith has posted, you should "forget" the wireless connection on your devices then re-start the device before trying to re-make the connection using the wireless passkey/password, not the admin password, that is on the hubs label.

Its best to disable smart setup, as that can cause problems.

Renaming the SSIDs is a good idea if you have any Apple devices.

Other than disabling smart setup, not really.
