WIFI SSID bug in firmware of BT Smart Hub

When I split the 5gz and 2.4gz wifi bands on the BT smart hub, I can give whatever name I like for the 2.4Ghz band, but for some strange reason on the 5hz band it only allows 3 alpanumeric characters and the second character has to be a "- "  . My previous vodafone router never had that issue I could give 2  different names for each of the 2 wifi bands, even on an old bt home 5 I have lying around, I dont get that issue when I tried it on that router.

Here is the firmware information for the smart hub

Firmware version:

SG4B1000B540

Firmware updated:

01-Nov-2018

Can you please fix this bug, as Im really starting to regret leaving vodafone as their router worked perfectly.

Thanks

Presumably you didn't leave vodafone just because BT was offering a HH6 but if this issue it is causing you to regret doing so, why don't you just bin the HH6 and use your HH5 or buy a decent third party router.
