I have a BT Smart Hub and a BT Dual-Band Wi-Fi extender 1200.
I have not used the extender since this issue was raised in 2017.
Is it secure to use these products given the flaw that was raised in 2017?

If you read the thread you are referring to you will see that in message 39 the moderator posted that the BT Homehubs are not at risk. As regards the BT Smarthub, as they went on the market after the "security flaw" was highlighted I would imagine that it is not at risk.
I have no idea about the WiFi extender but if it is possible to update the software you should do so. If it is not possible to update it and you feel you are at risk you should not use it.

From the responses I have received so far, I have two questions.
Is it possible to update the software on the BT Dual-Band Wi-Fi Extender 1200?
BT still sell the Extender. Is the software in the current version more up to date that the software in mine which was purchased before October 2017?
I’m sure BT could answer these questions immediately. How do I contact BT to ask these questions?
