I am admin on a voluntary organisation website built in Wordpress. I usually access the site using Google Chrome but can also manage with MS Edge. In the last few days I have been unable to access the site.
I am encountering an error when attempting to connect to the website :
Error shown
This site can’t be reached 127.0.0.1 refused to connect.
This is occurring with MS Edge browser on a laptop, Google Chrome browser and Lenovo tablet Android all connecting through my BT Halo router.
I have contacted the ISP who find the site is operating fully and no faults. They suggest this is a router issue. I have restarted my Halo Hub, used cmd.exe to clear DNS cache with ipconfig /flushdns
Can anyone tell me how to stop the url redirecting to 127.0.0.1?
Please can you try a curl to the website with verbose enabled along with a nslookup or dig of the domain you are connecting to.
Then post the results back here.
Thank you for attempting to assist, but I do not understand your suggestions. the phrases curl, verbose enabled, nslookup, and dig do not make sense to me.
