Wi-Fi dropping out or unstable

I am on a BT Business Hub, last updated on 15/11/2019 with firmware version 4.7.5.1.83.8.267.

The Wi-Fi will randomly cut out when streaming videos and will just display a loading ring on the video.  This happens at random - sometimes after 5 minutes and sometimes after 20.  Very occasionally it doesn't happen at all.  Sometimes the Wi-Fi will remain connected but the internet cuts out and sometimes it will disconnect from the Wi-Fi completely.  Another thing I noticed was all devices are connected via 2.4GHz and not 5GHz.  I enabled the ability to connect specifically to 5GHz but once connected it just says 'this network has no internet access'.

Another thing I am experiencing is the PC (connected via ethernet) will experience occasional lag spikes or packet loss during online games and on Discord.  This doesn't happen as often as the wireless problems though.

Any ideas what this could be or how to fix it?

Are you a BT Business user, as they have a different forum?
