Re: WiFi and ethernet connections not fully working (ipv6 issue)

See https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/docs/using

Not sure about IPv6, the only option seems to be to disable ULA.

Re: WiFi and ethernet connections not fully working (ipv6 issue)

You can't disable IPv6 completely on the Hub 6, you would have to do it on each client.

@mikeyaj. Can you share your findings as to why you think the problem is IPv6 related? The BT forum doesn't support IPv6 at this time so any connections to it can only be IPv4. As you had problems connecting here as well, it would make me question whether the problem is due to IPv6.

Regards

Re: WiFi and ethernet connections not fully working (ipv6 issue)

@smf22  mainly due to wifi not working on my phone

this isn't a pc issue, it's an all round wifi and ethernet issue

Re: WiFi and ethernet connections not fully working (ipv6 issue)

@Keith_Beddoe

none of those instructions actually tell me how to change anything or tally up with windows 10. windows 7 is an old os so those instructions don't work

Re: WiFi and ethernet connections not fully working (ipv6 issue)

Have you turned off "smart setup" on the Homehub.

See link how to do that.

http://bt.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/44328/~/what-is-smart-setup-on-the-bt-hub%3F-how-can-...

Some devices have a problem with the Homehub dual band having the same SSid (name). You should try splitting them.

See link

Re: WiFi and ethernet connections not fully working (ipv6 issue)

@gg30340

Those instructions for not tie up to my smarthub

I have split the 5ghz and 2ghz (the instructions you linked to are incorrect though)

Got rid of the smart setup which i have done before.

No effect on either my phone or pc

The pc is showing the capatcha images now

My main focus is being able to use apps on my phone through the WiFi though

Sounds like a phone problem to me, if you can use a browser wifi is working ok.
