I have a BT Hub 5 situated in the hall at the front of the house. I'm about to install an external office at the rear of the house. The office has metal sides and roof. I'm looking for advice on the best way to get decent wireless access inside that building. Thanks in anticipation.
Thank you. Would you happen to know whether there is a distance limitation between the devices.
They use the mains wiring to communicate, so as long as both the house and the outbuilding are fed from the same mains consumer unit, there should be no problems.
If they do not work, you could always return them.
Other than running an external Ethernet cable to the building, and fitting a wireless access point at the end, your options are limited, so try the simplest one first.
