Your BT Broadband is ready, regrade order xxxxxxxx

Anyone know what this is about?

What is a regrade? I haven't asked BT to change anything, what is this about?

You will need to supply more information than that.

Was it an email? Is it when you log onto something or what?

Delete it, it is just a phishing mail.

Did you order anything! If not why would you get an email telling you about it.

It will be a phishing email. If it asks you to confirm anything or click on links don't do it.

See links about BT emails.

Why would you even consider it is anything other than a phishing email if you have not ordered anything? If you are so sure it is for you why have you come on the forum to ask for advice?

Re: Your BT Broadband is ready, regrade order xxxxxxxx

was it in your in box or your spam box?

most importantly was there a link in the email and if so did you click it.

if you did i would run a virus scan NOW prefrebly in safe mode. most prob not a virus but best be safe than sorry.

there are thousands of various spam/phishing email versions about and sometimes clicking the link doesnt infect anything but it automatically sends everyone in your email contacts list the same spam email and then sends to all of their contacts as well and so on and so on.

i cant remember the statistics now but a few years ago a safe experiment was carried out to see how many could be affectd by one person clicking a link. hard to believe but 100000000 received the same link within 1 hour.

check out some of these scam emails http://search.atomz.com/search/?sp-q=email&x=31&y=10&sp-a=00062d45-sp00000000&sp-advanced=1&sp-p=all...
