fibre to the premises broadband

Hi,
I am about to get fibre to the premises installed and I have been informed that the bt tv box must be connected by ethernet cable. The thing is my entry point is in another room from my main tv. Would using bt socket extenders lower my speeds as it comes in on fibre and would then travel through the house internal copper wire to my tv box.

Re: fibre to the premises broadband

It shouldn't make too much of an impact. Power lines are different to telephone wiring. FTTP uses fibre, which is immune from electrical interference.

Welcome to this user forum.

See BT Youview box not near the home hub? Here is the solution.

They are the approved ones, and are discounted.
