Make sure you turn off "smart setup" on the Homehub.
See link how to do that.
Some devices have a problem with the Homehub dual band having the same SSid (name). You should try splitting them as per the above post.
Thanks for the help. I have now split each band and switched off "smart setup". The effect now is this - my wife's iphone 5S seems to have a more consistent connection to the 5GHz band. However, my iPhone 6 won't connect to either! Any further ideas?
"Forget" any previous connections on your phone to the Smarthub.Restart the phone then try and re-connect.
