i have the following :
draytek vigor 130 > hp t620 plus thin clinet with pfsense 2.4.4 installed > asus gt ax 11000 wireless router > then finally my PC.
i have set the draytek in bridged mode, but there are lots of settings there and i dont know what they are...also dhcp server is running...i selected the fiirst option in the drop down list
the pfsense box can see the wan and lan and the wifi router.
but im not getting no internet on my asus router...it says "there is a problem with your isps dhcp server"
can anyone suggest what the problem is and help me get connected.
tks in advance
If the Draytek is correctly in bridge mode it won't have a DHCP server running, that will be handled by your router.
Have you entered the correct PPP credentials in the Asus, they are username firstname.lastname@example.org and password BT.
i used firtname.last name@ btbroadband.com
and password of 12345
still dont work...router keeps saying there is a problem with dhcp.
there is a dhcp on the modem, router, and pfsense, all are on
There should only be dhcp on the ASUS.
Not wishing to be rude, but by your own admission you are not very familiar with networking, I'm wondering why you need such a complicated setup? It is usually enthusiasts that have a deep knowledge and like to experiment that do so.
the pfsense router - the modem - and the wireless router
i know how to get them talking again...but wanted to double check the bridge settings for the modem.
or any other setting thats i may have missed
I'm not familiar with the Draytek, you would probably be better asking on the Draytek forum. However, if it is in bridge mode it shouldn't be acting as a DHCP server, that is a router function.
i think the problem is that my pfsense box and asus router both have the same ip address..
any idea how to change the ip address of the asus start up log in screen?
