2 Phone Lines, 2 numbers, merge into 1

2 Phone Lines - Seperate Numbers - Merge into 1?
Hi,

Our house has two phone lines, with a seperate phone numbers on each.
One was for our business and one personal with broadband.

Phone Line 1: Our Business line.

Phone Line 2: Personal calls and broadband. (home PC)

As I have now retired I have reverted the business line to personal.
I now want to cancel the second line and add broadband to the first.
When I have cancelled the second line can I change the number of the second line to match the first line as this is where my PC plugs in.

Thanks in advance

Simplest thing to do is simply add broadband to line one and then simply swap the wires over where they enter the house.

I was hoping to change one of the lines numbers, is this possible?

Yes, but it will be more expensive, complicated and prone to error. If the 2 lines enter the building via the same cable, it would be a trivial exercise to just swap the wires over. Clearly if they enter the building at different points it wouldn't be possible. Obviously your choice.
