Adding a Wanted Number to BT Call Protect

Go to solution

I have BT Call Protect but it seems that it may be blocking my library who use an 0300 number. Is there anyway that I can avoid this without having to upgrade the service to include VIP numbers?

Providing it is a full 11 digit number I can't think of any reason why Call Protect might be blocking it.

Have they left any message in your junk mail ?

What settings do you have for blocking calls ?

Hi, it is a full 11 digit number. I have not checked the junk mail but have been told several times by my lbrary that they did try to phone and I have no record of missin the call.

Settings are:

Blacklists - on

Stop all unrecognised, international and withheld numbers.

Hi @somhairle,

Those settings all look fine.

Does the library's number appear in your list of the last 20 calls received ?

If not, then they maybe they are ringing the wrong number.

Get them to confirm the number they are ringing.

Have you got a mobile they could ring ?

I managed to check back on 1572 and discovered that the library number comes through as 'unavailable' - not as the 0300 number that they told me. So, this will be why it is being blocked.

I don't have a mobile but my wife does and I think we will need to give that to the library.
