BT post / pole painted used motor oil

Hi

I have a BT post next to my garden and my vegetable patch.

Couple weeks ago after returning from work I have noticed it has been treated with something that looks like like used engine oil. It smells horrible and my 8 years daughter had dmamged her jacket accidently touching it.

Is this a common thing BT does? How this comply with environmental policy etc?

BT post / pole treated with old engine oil

hi

is that a normal oractice to paint BT post with smelly old used engine oil that is harmfull to environment?

Post next to my garden has been recently treated in this way?

My daughter had damaged her jacket accidently touching it.

This is not acceptable, in my opinion completely wrong way. I had never seen anything like that in my area.

I iwll add a dropbox links so you can see.

Thank you

You need to contact Openreach there is nothing BT Retail can do as BT do not have any thing to do with the network

Re: BT post / pole painted used motor oil

It looks as though it has been treated with preservative. It will be the responsibility of Openreach, not BT retail, you can contact them here
