I've recently bought a BT 2000 phone - and the ECO mode puzzles me.
In the manual it says 'With ECO mode on, the handset only uses the transmission power it needs to communicate with the base rather than full transmission power all the time.'
That's fine, but my question is: When / Why would you ever want it to use more power than it needs to communicate with the base?! Surely if in ECO mode it uses what it needs, there's no reason to have ECO mode off!
Or am I missing something ...... are there any downsides to having ECO mode on?
