BT7610 -Mailbox full

Our Nusisance Call Blocker answering machine 7610 instead of answering & taking messages says to caller "This mailbox is full".

There are no messages, the phone has the ansaphone on - I have tried resetting base.

Any suggestions??

Thanks

Welcome to this user forum. @ValB1

Are you sure it the phone, and not answer 1571?

Unplug the phone ands ring your landline from a mobile, see if you get the same message.

Re: BT7610 -Mailbox full

Thanks Keith

We have never used 1571 before and yes there were messages there- now cleared, had wondered why I no longer had a dialing tone when I made outgoing calls.

Not sure how I can stop it going to there instead of our answering machine

It should not stop dialling tone, but the dial tone would be interrupted.

If you are not getting dial tone, then you have a fault somewhere, its nothing to do with answer 1571.

You can remove answer 1571 via this online page.

https://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerOrders/control/orderproduct?productId=CON-27455&produ...

Its an order page which you can then select these options.

Select the option which is circled, then progress to the end of the order. That will remove answer 1571, there is no charge for removing it.

If you still want to keep call protect, then first remove 1571 and complete that order. Then wait until that has been done.

Then you can just select call protect on its own if you want

I hope that is of help.
