It needs to be published more prominently with guidance for finding it.  I suspect it might even be possible to export contacts from Outlook or Google contacts as vCard files to the Hub saving the trouble of inputing via the keypad on the phone.

I agree with you there @jbyng , and the importance of remembering to back up every time contacts are added. I also back up my hard drive, you only get caught out once only having one copy.

I don't think you can transfer the contacts for that.

I have just been supplied BT Essential Digital Home Phones with HD calling.  I had to enter all my contacts using the key pad.

I strongly recommend that BT find a better way of doing this.  Since the handsets are digital and communicate via the home hub it should be possible to construct a facility for entering contacts via a home PC or laptop.  Even better would be a facility to export the data from the old analogue handsets via the hub to the new digital handsets.

Come on BT - show what you can do.

Hi @jbyng & @Andy005 ,

I have quad BT8600's but have no idea how to create a connection to my hub.  Could either of you give me instructions on how to do this please ?

It's not possible @pompey1898@jbyng had received a DV handset which works via a SH2 and I think that's where the contacts are stored, not in the handset as with the 8600 etc.

It's confused it slightly by being posted in the wrong thread.
