Recently my granddaughter's name has stopped appearing on the screen of our BT8600 phone. It used to appear and all other callers appear as normal if they are in our contact list. when she calls all that is displayed is the phone number. Obviously her name is entered in the contact list along with her number.
Has anyone any ideas why this has started to happen?

Hi @George99 thanks for your post and are you still having this problem with the name not showing? If so check out the BT8600 help page and you will find the phone and email contact details for the help desk who will be best positioned to help you with this.
Has she changed her number or now decides to withhold it.
Get her to ring you and after she hangs up dial 1471 and listen and check if that is the number she has.
You may get an announcement saying "we don't have the callers number" (or something similar)

Her mobile number is displayed on the screen correctly and we recognize it's her calling. However, although her name is entered in the contact list and her number is listed in the mobile section her name does not get displayed. All our other callers that call on a mobile are displayed with their name and mobile appearing on screen, not their number.
Have you tried deleting the contact and then adding it again? If that doesn't work then a reset of the base unit may be worth trying, the option should be in the Settings Menu but make a paper copy of all of your contacts first.

I have deleted and reinstalled the contact a couple of times. In the meantime I have received an email from the BT help desk telling me to reset the base which I will do.
