Cancelling a fault

I raised a fault as my landline and broadband were both down earlier in the week (no dial tone, pink flashing light on router). The issue resolved itself a day later but there is no way to cancel the fault i reported on the BT site, and no way to contact BT to do this - the phone line has very long queues (>2 hours when attempted) and no chat desk or email contact. It's a waste of BT resources if an engineer has to investigate a fault that no longer exists.

I am in the same position. Did you work out a way to cancel the fault please?
