You will need to take this case up with openreach. The external infrastructure (ducting and cabling) is owned and maintained by openreach. This forum is for BT consumer. ‘

No, the External Infrastructure, aka the Access Network is own by the BT Group Plc and is maintained primarily by Openreach but also a handful of other Companies such as Telec.

To claim costs back for Damage to Property would have to be referred to the BT Group Legal Team.

I am trying to get to the person or company who will accept responsibility.

I cannot make a legal claim until I know on whom it is to be served.

I have taken it up with my insurance company as the Ombudsman say they cannot help as it is the fault of Openreach and the Ombudsman does not represent Openreach.

Openreach say they are only contractors to BT and I must take it up with BT.
