We placed an order two months ago to have a phoneline connected and to join BT and was given todays date for everything to happen, recieved an email and text message two days ago saying this is still the case.
Broadband and new phones arrived this morning but waited in for the 8-1 request for person to connect us but had no phonecall or anything so say was running late or been moved so I phoned BT and been told it is now the sixth of November.
This isn't really a very good start for new customers and some of our fellow neighbours have had the same problem, some have been waiting two months after the day they were given.
Are you sure that it did not say that your equipment would arrive today between 8-1, when you placed the order?
Normally a visit would be arranged some time after the equipment has been delivered, as it would be no use someone turning up beforehand, if you have asked for a home install.
I have checked the track your order page it says equipment delivery despatched (arrived this morning) broadband activation and activation date up until midnight tonight and appointment was due between 8 and 1pm for the phoneline to be connected as it is as new house.
