I HAD 3 x corded phones and a BT Studio 1100 cordless (twin handsets) and all worked perfectly.
I have just replaced the cordless phones (only) with BT Diverse 7110 Plus (twin handsets) connected to the same extension socket previously used for the Studio 1100.
Now, when I answer an incoming call on any of the corded phones, the cordless phones continue ringing for another 4 rings before they stop.
Any useful suggestions would be appreciated.
All of the new models seem to do this, even the old BT hub phones that I have will continue ringing for a while.
If you change the ringing sound to a simple one, that is not a melody, then that cuts the time down quite a lot.
That`s assuming there is a simple ring sound, many new phone designs, seem to think people like to hear a melody all the time :smileysad:
Thank you Keith, although not what I wanted to hear 😉
I have turned off the base station ringer and will now choose a less noisy ringtone for the handset if there is no cure to this irritation.
