Cost of choose to refuse and anonymous caller rejection unjust?

Ok, in this country when it comes to landlines, we pay line rental. In this country we also do not have the right to see peoples phone numbers when they withold there phone numbers. For that reason shouldn't these calling features be free of charge or funded by the Data protection agency who impose the silly privacy law. If not free at least a lot cheaper than what they are now.

By the way not just refering to BT's pricing and cost of these products but Virgin Media,TalkTalk and Sky Talk as well. voip providers offer it for free, some Virgin Media customers on old NTL contracts also get it free.

Well if someone is witholding there number, we don't have a right to see the number, what so complicated about understanding that. Stupid privacy laws enable people to withold there numbers.

You are entitled to your view that callers should not be allowed to withhold their numbers, but I'm sure that most people would disagree. I'm also sure that most would not agree that a means to avoid a legitimate process should be provided free of charge to anyone who happens to dislike it. I'm with the majority on both counts.

(Actually, Caller Display is free if ordered via BT Privacy so it's a step towards what you want.)

you then have the other problem you get a phone call by the time you go to answer it they ring off you then redial the number to be told they do not receive incoming calls like wise very frustrating also like the person who calls and does not leave an answer on an answer phone
