Credit card payments online

Hi - I can no longer make credit card payments online as I don't receive the One Time Access code they say will be sent.  This was working a few days ago and nothing is wrong with my credit card as it works just fine in shops.  Could this be something on my BT line causing this?  I know it's a long shot but the credit card company have said there isn't anything wrong that they can see.  Thanks.

Do BT  provide your phone line, do you pay them for your line rental?

Are you a BT Business customer?

Then its probably BT Call Protect which is blocking the incoming number from the bank.

Check your BT Call Protect settings.

Hi - I've just checked the settings and there's only one number blocked which I did in 2018.

Hi - I've just played my junk mail messages and the call I wanted with the access code is in there! So how do I stop it if it isn't on my black list? Thanks

Judging by other people posting on this forum, you should see lots of spam calls blocked automatically, so perhaps you are not seeing the blocked calls, or the settings are wrong?

If you get that few calls, then try turning BT Call Protect off, or removing it, to see if you get the calls you are expecting.

I do not use call protect, but another forum member may be able to help, who does use it.

Thanks for your help with this and at least I know what the problem is.  I think I'll turn it off as like you say I don't get many junk calls.

I find it much better to have OTP's sent to a mobile.  Do you have one ?
