Do I need a phone line into the building or is that what the engineers do?
So I've just moved out for the first time, the landlord is telling me that there isn't an acctual phone line cable coming into the building but a telegraph pole is right next to the property. The engineers are due to come on the 15th (maybe, I assume there will be delays with it being a new renovation) but is that what the engineer will do, put the cable into the building, or will they turn up and tell me they can't do anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

I would expect the openreach engineer to run a cable from the pole to your flat and install a phone socket
