Re: Engineer fails to turn up

So why did BT ring me and offer me Infinity. Just shows the how **bleep** they are. And then to not let me know until after I am paying for a landline that I no longer need. From what the Openreach engineer has told me, CMUX can only provide copper bb and voice whereas he informed me I am connected to Cab11 which is FTTC. Having been through all this 5 months ago I am sick of it and will be escalating this complaint as far as possible. BT should be held to account for their complete ineptitude. You only have to look online to see all the complaints from people. Useless

Re: Engineer fails to turn up

it looks like you are just too far from the cabinet to get fibre

a lot of sales call come from outsourced call centres and they just get cabinet details not just the phone number check this problem could just as easily happened with other ISP's who use the same Openreach fibre service of which BT is just one provider

Re: Engineer fails to turn up

@mossy05

Thanks for posting and welcome to the forum I'm really sorry to hear of the problems that you have had with your order.

Your best bet would be to contact our order team and allow them the chance to put things right. I will drop you a private message now which will include the link to our order team whereby you can online chat with them. This order team is based in the UK and will own your complaint until everything is sorted out.

Should you have any further problems after speaking with this team please let us know.

Thanks

Neil

Re: Engineer fails to turn up

Well done BT. So spoke with the so called order team today on chat and they were useless. All I got was "a specialist team are looking into it". And guess what, to make it worse they have cancelled our landline aswell today. So British Telecomm (its in the name) cant even deliver BB or a reliable landline. The CEO but be so impressed with his company which is full of idiots. I have now got a proper company delivering me both BB and phone. Its not really that hard is it. I am glad that I am done with with them. They can have their HH5 back when they pay me the compensation for the missed appointments and I will leave the complaint open until such time as I can escalate it to Ofcom. If anyone reads this that is thinking of using BT, take my advice and dont. They are nothing but trouble.

Re: Engineer fails to turn up

CMUX is a type of TPON. There's not many in the UK on the Openreach Network, in fact I'm sure it's something like 8 in total so to be on one is just bad luck.
