Extension sockets not working

Hi, we just moved into our new home yesterday. Our bt phone and broadband have been transferred over even keeping the same number.

We have a master socket 5c with our landline phone and router attached and this is working ok but none of the extension sockets are working. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Extension sockets not working

Are there any wires connected to terminals 2&5 on the removable faceplate of the master? That is where extensions should be wired from.

Edit:  On the NTE5c the extension wiring is connected to the blue terminals 2 & 5 behind the faceplate not on the faceplate itself.

Re: Extension sockets not working

Thanks for your help. We had a look and couldn’t find the wires you mentioned. Meanwhile our estate agents contacted the previous owners for us and it transpires that they disconnected  all the other sockets when they got wireless phones because it reduced the interference on the broadband. I guess we’ll have to go shopping for wireless phones tomorrow!

Re: Extension sockets not working

Surprised even if they disconnected the exiting that the extension wiring is no lying loose in the master socket and only need reconnected as @licquorice
