Posting here as at my wits end and cant find any way to talk to someone on the phone who does not seem to pass me around.
I have an order in place for a new phone line for my new build house (although I should point out that others in the street are already connected and functional), despite placing this order back in september I was told the soonest an engineer could come out to connect the wires was today (29th October).
Paitently I have waited, in the middle of october a guy from BT turned up, connected the box outside my house and said he was here to fix the phone line, then promptly vanished. I rang customer services to ask what work had been done, and if that meant my sevices would be connected. I ended up stuck in a conversation with a lady with a very strong accent who I could barley understand, and she certainly could not understand what I was trying to tell her, after being told 'You have an engineer booked between 1-6 on the 29th october, if someone is not in the house we will not be able to install your phone' I gave up and decided just to wait.
The 29th has been and gone, the engineer did not arrive and I have lost a days pay. I telephoned the customer service desk again. This time I got someone who at least appeared to be more helpful but I cannot believe what I have been told.
Apperantly an engineer was never going to come round as the notes on their system show that there is apperantly some issue in the area which they knew about for some time, and therefore could have easily bothered to tell me about.
More-over the next time an engineer can come to give me the phone line is in december...
This is unbeleievable, nearly 12 weeks to have a phone line despite others on my street being all connected and working, many of whom moved in AFTER me... does BT not want my money?

They normally reply by email or phone directly to you within 3 working days they will take personal ownership of your problem until resolved and will keep you informed of progress
They are a UK based BT specialist team who have a good record at getting problems solved
