My father forgot to pay his bill. I believe it was first issued a couple of months ago in November.
On Monday morning I'd got an email very early from BT to say that an order has been placed for a cease on the line.
At around 9am, the broadband provider emailed to say that there's been an order also placed to cease the broadband.
I rang up straight away on Monday, paid the bill. But unfortunately BT weren't able to reactivate the landline. So I placed a new order immediately, and the service is going live this Wednesday the 20th.
I am wondering if there is any way at all possible to preserve the old number? It was of some historical value to him
Thanks in advance,
I have asked a moderator to provide assistance, they will post an invite on this thread.
They are the only BT employees on this forum, and are based in the UK.
Thanks for posting. I’m sorry your dads line was cancelled. We can’t guarantee that we could get the number back but we’ll be happy to try. Once the line is activated let us know and we’ll take it from there.
