Re: Fault noisy

I finally managed to undo the screws to try the test socket and the crackling was just as bad. Does this mean the problem is not inside my property?

Re: Fault noisy

Fault traced to faulty underground cable as always suspected. EVERYTHING in my property has been checked now, thanks to the very thorough Openreach engineer. BT your online diagnostic checker is rubbish and obviously geared towards discouraging customers requesting a callout!!
