Landline dead

My landline is dead with no dial tone but my broadband is still running at normal speed.I ran the line checker and it said there was a fault in the area which will take 9 days to fix but I can’t find any mention of this online anywhere.Is there anyone on here in the Leicestershire area having the same problem?

Have you tried going to 'help' at top of page then check my connection?

Hi,I’ve done that and it says there’s a major network fault in my area.I just thought it strange that a big fault like that wasn’t being mentioned anywhere and that maybe I was getting a false message.
