Ive recently tried to change broadband provider but have been told that my number is not registered to my address and therefore I cannot change providers without having a new number.
Does anyone know how to get this resolved ? Any help would be much appreciated

Which ISP is your current broadband and phone provider
Then you need to go to SKY and ask them to raise an ORDI request with openreach
there is nothing that can be done here
