Landline

Go to solution

Hi - I am buying a property and dont know whether there is an active land line to the property?  It has been empty for over 5 years and the previous occupant only used a mobile phone.  I would like a landline and broadband installed as soon as I can?
How do I find out?  I don't have access to the property currently.

the landline will not be active although the line will still be there   you need to place an order with whichever ISP you decide

Do I need to know the previous phone number or need a new line installed?

You will need to place a new order for a landline, the old number would not be available.

Place an order for a line only using this link - https://www.bt.com/landline/deals

That is assuming you want to use BT.

If you want broadband as well, then you may need to wait until the phone line is working first.
