Line Rental Saver

Go to solution

Due to expire next week. Eventually found a link, did not receive email remainder.

Packages

Unlimited BT Infinity 1 + Calls £14.50 gone up £2.50 in a 12 month.

Here is the bit that does not make sense:

This package gives you:

  • Unlimited BT Infinity 1 with up to 20Mb download and 9.5Mb upload speeds
  • Unlimited Weekend Calls to UK landlines

Why 20Mb surely should be up to 52Mb they guaranteed 31 when I signed up. Have not renewed yet.

Also I believe line rental is coming down next year, will I get a refund?

Re: Line Rental Saver

Hi @keithwjones and thanks for posting.

Are you getting this offer via your MyBT? It will usually give you a couple of different options but you might want to contact the customer options team directly to discuss further. You can get them on 0800 800 030.

Cheers

Re: Line Rental Saver

Thanks for reply.

I only need to renew Line Rental Saver, broadband has another year to run.

I found a link to renew on a Google search. But did not push button because I did not understand:

Unlimited BT Infinity 1 with up to 20Mb download and 9.5Mb upload speeds.

Looks as though best to ring.

Have you ever heard of  Unlimited BT Infinity 1 with up to 20Mb download and 9.5Mb upload speeds?

My speed is just under 40 and connection is reliable.

Re: Line Rental Saver

That is the link I used but the issue is:

Unlimited BT Infinity 1 with up to 20Mb download and 9.5Mb upload speeds

It also says:

You are about to renew Line Rental Saver, any monthly charges you see below are what you currently pay and won't change.

20Mb is the issue

I expect its just out of date.

Line rental saver has nothing to do with your broadband.

Thanks for checking that @keithwjones. I think your best bet would be through the options team as that link might be out of date.

Cheers

Re: Line Rental Saver

Thanks for help, I will ring.

My concern is that I will end up on  Unlimited BT Infinity 1 with up to 20Mb download and 9.5Mb upload speeds, whatever it is.

Re: Line Rental Saver

For anyone following. The 20Mb is what they guarantee.

I am on up to 52, I actually get slightly under 40.

When I signed up they guaranteed 31, so they have dropped it back to 20.

When I first got this service some years ago I was actually getting nearly 50.

Having said all that and tempting fate the service is very reliable.
